Pavarotti
Luciano Pavarotti was a very popular Italian opera singer. He was born on the 12th of October, 1935 in Modena, Emilia Romagna, Italy. He died on the 6th of September, 2007, aged 71. Pavarotti was one of the Three Tenors. Pavarotti became well known for his televised concerts and media appearances. He performed in many theatrical operas like La Boheme’ and Madama Butterfly. Bocelli
Andrea Bocelli is a famous Italian born singer and songwriter. He was born on the 22nd of September, 1958 in Pisa, Tuscany. Andrea was born with poor eyesight. He became blind at the age of 12 following a football accident. Bocelli has recorded 14 solo studio albums including pop and classical music, three greatest hits albums and nine complete operas selling over 100 million records or CDs worldwide.

In 1998, Andrea Bocelli was named one of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People. In 1999, he was nominated the Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards. The title of this song, “Because We Believe”, highlights the importance that we are all special and we were all born to shine in this world. Tarantella
In Italian culture, the word “tarantella” evokes images of a frenzied spinning dance traditionally played at weddings. However, this popular native dance of Southern Italy has a history and myth spanning several centuries.The dance, originally an Italian folk dance of the lower- and middle-classes, has been labeled as a dance to cure sickness and as a dance of courtship.The dance is one of unity and separation, which sees dancers flying into each other’s arms only to bound away again. It is considered unlucky to dance the Tarantella alone so it is often danced by couples or by two women.
