Preprimary Week 1: 1. Students watch video number seven on the Preprimary page of my website. 2. They then make ‘il bruco’. I have given you all the pieces you need. 3. Students then colour ‘il bruco’ using the vocabulary sheet sent home last term. 4. Students may then start working on the greetings booklet. They need to colour the pictures, trace the word and then write it on the line below. In the last three pages they need to draw the face with the correct emotion (molto bene-very well, così così-so so, molto male-very sad/unwell). Week 2: 1. Students again watch video number seven on the Preprimary page of my website. 2. They then colour in ‘un bruco’ which says “Happy Mother’s Day’ in Italian. 3. Students then make a Mother’s Day card in Italian. 4. Students continue with their greetings booklet. Week 3: 1. Students watch video number seven on the Preprimary page. 2. They then use a cup to stamp ‘il bruco’. Use red for the head and green for the rest. If you do not have red and green paint they can trace around a cup or circle. The hairs and legs need to be done later when the paint is dry. 3. Students watch one of the number videos on the Preprimary page. 4. Students then use their number vocabulary sheet to cut out and sequence ‘il bruco’. They colour it when they have finished. This will take a while so they can do half now and the rest next lesson. Week 4: 1. Students again watch video number seven on the Preprimary page. 2. If students have not drawn the hairs and legs on last week’s ‘il bruco’ they can do so now. 3. Students watch a different number video on the Preprimary page of my website. 4. Students finish sequencing ‘il bruco’. Year 1Week 1: 1. Students click on the wheel on the bottom of the Year 1 page on my website and answer the question: Come ti chiami? (What’s your name? – They say ‘Mi chiamo …’ e.g. ‘Mi chiamo Marco.’) Quanti anni hai? (How old are you? – They say ‘Ho … anni’ e.g. ‘Ho sei anni.’) Come stai? (How are you? – They say ‘molto bene’-very well/’così così’-so so/’molto male’-very sad/unwell) Dove abiti? (Where do you live? – They say ‘Abito a …’ e.g. ‘Abito a Lesmurdie.’) Da dove vieni? (Where do you come from? – They say ‘Vengo da …’ e.g. ‘Vengo da Perth.’) 2. Students watch video number eleven on the Year 1 page of my website. 3. Using the video they then draw the objects on the worksheet provided. 4. Students watch video number one on the Year 1 page of my website and count along with it. 5. Students use their vocabulary sheet to help them complete the ‘Colora il numero giusto’ worksheet. Week 2: 1. Students click on the wheel on the bottom of the Year 1 page and answer the question as per last week. 2. Students again watch video number eleven on the Year 1 page of my website. 3. Using the video they then colour in the worksheet titled ‘Il Mio Astuccio’ by reading the colours given. 4. Students watch video number two on the Year 1 page and count along with it. 5. Students use their vocabulary sheet to help them complete the ‘Abbina i numeri’ worksheet. Week 3: 1. Students click on the wheel on the bottom of the Year 1 page on my website and answer the question: Come ti chiami? They will need their plasticine and placemat. Encourage students to say the sentences with me. 4. Students complete the worksheet titled ‘School Items’ using the vocabulary sheet provided. 5. Students watch video number two on the Year 1 page and count along with it. Year 2 Week 1: 1. Students watch video number eight on the Year 2 page of my website. 2. Students complete worksheet titled ‘Misuro Il Tempo’ using the vocabulary sheet provided. 3. Students watch video number four then 21 on the Year 2 page of my website. 4. Students complete worksheet titled ‘Leggere Il Diario’ using the vocabulary sheet provided. This is an assessment. Please encourage students to complete this independently. 5. Students watch video number 23 on the Year 2 page and count along with it up to 50. 6. Students use their vocabulary sheet to help them complete the ‘Uno a Cinquanta’ worksheet. Week 2: 1. Students watch video number nine on the Year 2 page of my website. 2. Students watch video number five then 21 on the Year 2 page of my website. 3. Students complete worksheet titled ‘Finire Il Diario’ followed by ‘Il Mio Diario’ using the vocabulary sheets provided (including 'I Verbi'). These are assessments. Please encourage students to complete these independently. 4. Students watch video number 23 on the Year 2 page and count along with it up to 50. 5. Students use their vocabulary sheet to help them complete the ‘Prima e Dopo Numeri’ worksheet. Week 3: 1. Students watch video number six on the Year 2 page of my website then make ‘il bruco’. Students use the large green piece of paper to draw and cut out a very large leaf. They then cut out the green days and sequence them in order. They need to glue them into a circle and place them on the leaf in order. Then draw the eyes and mouth on the face and glue it on the front. 2. Students watch video number seven on the Year 2 page . 3. Students complete the worksheet titled ‘I Giorni della Settimana ed I Pianeti’. They need to cut out the days of the week and glue them under the planet/moon they were named after. They can then colour in the sheet. 4. Students watch video number 23 on the Year 2 page and count along with it up to 50. Week 4: 1. Students watch video number six on the Year 2 page of my website. 2. Students watch video number five then 21 on the Year 2 page of my website. Students should repeat after the words when watching video 21. 3. Students cut out and glue ‘il bruco’ by reading and sequencing the days of the week. They can then colour it in. 4. Students watch video number 23 on the Year 2 page and count along with it up to 50. Year 3Week 1: 1. Students watch video number one on the Year 3 page of my website. Then watch video number two and see if you can recognise any of the words. 2. Students then make a Wordart using the vocabulary sheet provided. The instructions for Wordart are below. 3. Students complete the ‘Abbina le parole' and 'Quale famiglia?’ worksheets using the vocabulary sheets provided. These are an assessment. Please encourage students to complete these independently. Week 2: 1. Students again watch video number one on the Year 3 page of my website. Then watch video number two and see if you can recognise any of the words. Jot down the family members you heard. 2. Students complete worksheet titled ‘Il Tesoro’ using the vocabulary sheets provided. 3. Students complete their Mother’s Day card. They need to cut it out and choose an adjective from the list provided below for each box. Inside they need to write: Cara Mamma/Nonna/Zia, (Dear Mum/Grandma/Aunty) Buona Festa della Mamma! (Happy Mother’s Day) Da ______________ (From ________________) 4. Students watch video number 23 on the Year 3 page and count along with it up to 50. Word Art Instructions: Step One: Go to www.wordart.com Step Two: Click on Create Now Step Three: Near the middle of the page is the Clear button (Click this button) Step Four: Click Add and then begin typing in the box a family member e.g. la mamma. Step Five: Do not hit add instead hit the enter button on your keyboard to get a new line. Type in at least 10 family members. Step Six: Then choose your shape, fonts layout etc. Your shape must be related to family, Step Seven: Click visualize every time you want to see your new image. Step Eight: When you are finished, use the print screen (prt sc) button on your keyboard to get a screenshot (or screenshot the iPad). Put this in Word or PicCollage or something similar, crop it and add the title ‘La Famiglia’ and your name (Da ____________). Students again watch video number one on the Year 3 page of my website. 2. Students complete worksheet titled ‘Abbina Le Persone’ using the vocabulary sheet provided. 3. Students listen to video number seven on the Year 3 page of my website. They need to complete the worksheet ‘Mi Chiamo Lola’ while listening to the video. They may listen twice. 4. Students watch video number 23 on my website and count along with it up to 50. Year 4 eek 1: 1. Students watch video number one on the Year 4 page of my website. 2. Then watch video number two and complete the cloze worksheet titled ‘Le Materie Scolatiche’. This is an assessment. Please encourage students to complete this independently. 3. Students then write five sentences in Italian about the equipment used in each subject e.g. 'Per la matematica uso la riga …' (For maths I use a ruler …). Don’t forget to use and ‘e’. Students then record themselves saying these and upload to Seesaw. 4. Students watch video number 22 on the Year 4 page and count along with it up to 50. Week 2: 1. Students again watch video number one on the Year 4 page of my website. Then watch video number two and see if you can recognise any of the subjects. Jot down the subjects you heard. 2. Students complete worksheets titled ‘La Scuola’ and ‘L’Orario’ using the vocabulary sheets provided. 3. Students watch video number 22 on the Year 4 page and count along with it up to 50. 4. Students then make a Wordart using the vocabulary sheet provided. The instructions for Wordart are below. This is an assessment. Please encourage students to complete this independently. 3. Students watch video number eight on the Year 4 page of my website. Students then complete the time wheel by copying the example on the right. 4. Students watch video number 22 on the Year 4 page and count along with it up to 50. Week 4: 1. Students watch video number six on the Year 4 page. 2. Students complete the worksheet titled ‘Lo Sport’. Using the vocabulary sheet provided students sort the sports into Summer (l’estate) and Winter (l’inverno) or all year. 3. Students again watch video number eight on the Year 4 page of my website. Students then complete the worksheet titled ‘Tic Toc!’. Students tick true (vero) or false (falso) for each time. Hint: mezzo means half. 4. Students watch video number 22 on the Year 4 page and count along with it up to 50. Year 5 Week 1: 1. Students watch video number two on the Year 5 page. 2. Students then make a Wordart using the vocabulary sheet provided. The instructions for Wordart are below. 3. Students watch video number 12 on the Year 5 page and count along with it up to 50. Week 2: 1. Students again watch video number two on the Year 5 page. 2. Students complete worksheets titled ‘Abbinare I Posti’ and ‘A Firenze’ using the vocabulary sheet provided and number 23 on the Year 5 page. 3. Students watch video number 12 on the Year 5 page and count along with it up to 50. 4. Students then make a map of an imaginary city using the vocabulary sheet provided.
